You need not send any money to us until after we have created your web page for your property on our site and it meets with your approval.

After you submit your application, you will receive an email showing the informaion you submitted, along with instructions on how to send us photos of your property. When you submit your application you will receive a temporary listing number, then when we have your pictures and other information you will be given a permanent listing number. You may want to include your listing number on your checks, on the back of your photos, within your emails, and any other correspondence you may send to us in the future.

You can use up to 5 pictures on your listing. You can email pictures to us at mark@gettysindustries.com or if you do not have pictures on your computer you can mail them to us and we will scan them for you. If you wish the photos to be returned, we request that you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

If you have a scanner and prefer to send your photos or floor plans to us by email, please keep the images at least 400x300 pixels in size and allow us to size the images to fit your page. Make sure your photos and images are in .jpg format. Email them to mark@gettysindustries.com and include your MyrtleBeachVPBO in the subject line.

After we have received your application and pictures we will put your listing together and notify you by email that your web page is ready for review. Once you review the page and it's to your satisfaction, you'll then mail us our fee in the form of a personal check, money order or official bank check for $125 to cover you for one year.

Now that you are listed with MyrtleBeachvpbo.com, be prepared to receive inquiries about your property. Have defined policies, deposits, rates, and instructions, as well as a cancellation policy, already in place. Many owners require 50% of the rental amount to reserve the property. Upon receiving the 50%, you mail, or email an acknowledgment confirming the rate, dates of the rental, and other payment information. Then three to four weeks before the rental period, the renter sends the balance of the total rent, the damage deposit, and cleaning fee if required. When you receive the final payment, then mail the key, directions, and instructions you feel are necessary. After the rental period, and the renter has returned home, they mail the key back to you. By this time, your cleaning service has been through the property, and will have advised you of any damage or problems. When there are no problems, and you have received your key back, you simply mail the deposit back to the renters. Also, you may want to include a note asking if they have any suggestions concerning the property, or inquire if they would like to reserve the same week for the next year. Please keep in mind this is just a suggestion. You, the owner, can set things up any way you desire.
